6. Why do you have to move straight

Starting photos below is in 2008.

At that time, Powell hold World record with 9.72, Tyson Gay had the best record with 9.85.

Hips of Tyson Gay (right-side) is not keeping the center, right and left, up and down.

His leg draw "ハ" (pronounced "Ha") that is Japanese letter KATAKANA.

His power of kicked out is not used the forward and then use moving of right and left, up and down.

It means lose his power.

On the other hand, Asafa Powell keep his hip at the center.

Do you remember Powell's stat of watched from side ?

His hip, the center of gravity, is kept the constant hight in any phases.

If we moved at an angle of 45 degrees, it lose 30% of our power compared with an angle of 0 degree.

30% loss !!!

You could understand the big loss if you trained hardly.

Because We can't get our power 30% more.

For example, a person who can push 100kg maxed up at bench press, he never can push 130kg up.

You have to understand well this important truth.

That differences is just an angle.

Just ! angle !

Do you understand my theory :)
